We'll spend 15 minutes getting to know your student — their grade, goals, and where they feel stuck. I'll recommend the right plan and, if it's a good fit, you can sign up and get started right away.
All counseling sessions are individual.
I am the sole counselor, and all sessions will be with me. I received three offers at large, for-profit companies but declined all of them after learning about their profit models and labor practices.
No. Every plan is fully personalized to your student. The webinars are supplemental group sessions on timely topics, but all 1-on-1 work, email support, and essay feedback is tailored specifically to your student's profile and goals.
Yes. Many families start on a lower tier and upgrade as application season ramps up. Just reach out and we'll adjust your plan at the next billing cycle.
Sessions do not roll over month to month. Each plan is designed so the included sessions reflect a realistic, productive cadence for that tier. If you need additional sessions in a given month, they can be added at $160/hr for Standard subscribers.
Annual subscribers pay upfront for 12 months and receive 30% off (Basic, Essentials, Standard) or 40% off (Premium) compared to the monthly rate. Annual plans are non-refundable but can be paused or adjusted in exceptional circumstances.
College selection discussion; strategic advice on strengthening candidacy; full application preparation and editing (resume, personal statement, essays, short answers, interview prep); merit and financial aid discussion; and finalizing college selection based on fit and financial package.
During the first session I conduct an in-depth assessment of a student's academic performance, course load, extracurriculars, and jobs or summer programs. After that, sessions vary based on student and parent needs.
Sessions for 9th–10th graders are approximately once a month, but I accommodate each student's schedule — more frequently around deadlines, less when students are busy. Counseling continues throughout the summer.
Yes, I work with students in all different time zones and am frequently available during evenings Eastern Time and on weekends.

Yes! Many students come to me unsure of what they want to focus on. I conduct in-depth assessments of previous extracurriculars and coursework and strategically suggest new activities and classes to explore.
Yes, I have worked with several student athletes.
I work best with mature, self-motivated students who are genuinely interested in counseling. As a lawyer barred in New York, I am bound by a strict code of ethics and will only work with families who uphold the same standard.
Calls are usually one-on-one with the student. Occasionally parents may join the first 10–15 minutes if they have questions. Counseling works best when students can speak freely without parental pressure.
I take notes during each session and send follow-up emails outlining next steps and forthcoming deadlines.
I have been conducting college counseling for over a decade.
